The strengthening of cooperative entrepreneurship: a driving force for the local economy in Guatemala

In Guatemala, in the world’s biggest cardamom producing region, the program to develop entrepreneurship of the Las Verapaces federation of cooperatives headed by SOCODEVI has enabled 2,400 families to take charge of marketing their cardamom. In today’s global economy controlled by large multinationals, this is a major challenge.

A perfect round for the Foundation golf tournament

Thanks to the exceptional contribution of the Coop fédérée and other event sponsors, the SOCODEVI Foundation golf tournament was a great success again this year. The net proceeds from the tournament came to $40,000 which will be used to support cooperatives and mutuals in developing countries.
